For more than 30 years, Abode Alliance®—formerly the New York Mortgage Coalition—has been dedicated to expanding opportunity and strengthening communities across Metro New York. Our new name and brand reflect an expanded mission: to harness the collective strength of housing agencies, financial institutions, and community partners to help New Yorkers achieve their goals, manage their resources effectively, and build lasting financial security and generational wealth. While our name has evolved, our commitment remains steadfast. We continue to work to close the racial wealth gap, expand access to economic opportunity, and improve quality of life for all New Yorkers—both homeowners and renters.
As a HUD Intermediary, Abode Alliance® supports a network of HUD-certified housing counseling agencies that provide essential education and guidance to prospective homebuyers. Through comprehensive counseling and trusted expertise, these agencies help individuals and families prepare for sustainable, responsible homeownership.
